The new Trillium year starts on August 1st, 2022
Your Trillium benefits are automatically renewed each year. You will have received a letter at your home address, confirming your coverage and the amount of your deductible, payable in 4 instalments, from August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023.
If you haven’t received a letter confirming your coverage and deductible amounts, there may be a problem with your application, and you may experience a delay in getting your medications.
Call Trillium directly. You can reach them in Toronto at: 416-642-3038 or 1-800-575-5386 (toll free). You may be required to update your contact information and provide your Trillium RA number or Health Card number. If you need support, contact us at The Village Pharmacy and we’ll do what we can to help.
If you are new to Trillium, check out our blog post on how to apply for the first time.
Expanded focus on HIV & women
The Village Pharmacy is pleased to share that we have expanded our focus on HIV and women at our Yonge-Eglinton location in midtown Toronto.
In May, Pharmacist Monica Nguyen led a presentation for women living with HIV at ACT’s Women’s Coffee Night. She discussed a variety of topics that are specific to women living with HIV, including treatment options, side effects, birth control, pregnancy, menopause, bone health, mental health and much more. There were lots of great questions and an appreciation for the focus on women’s concerns.
Ms. Nguyen received her pharmacy training at the University of Toronto, and comes to The Village Pharmacy with extensive experience in community pharmacy. We welcome women living with HIV to The Village Pharmacy, and can hold medication and insurance consultations over the phone, or in person. Free delivery across Ontario is also available.
Get in touch with us at our midtown location: 416-487-9128 / midtown@thevillagepharmacy.ca
HIV injectable Cabenuva is available at The Village Pharmacy
Cabenuva is a once-per-month injection for HIV treatment, and is a complete replacement for your current antiretroviral regimen. Cabenuva is now covered by ODB. Additional co-pay assistance is also available.
The Village Pharmacy is an approved Cabenuva injection site at 2 of our locations: 535 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto, and 2518 Yonge Street, in midtown Toronto.
If you have questions about going on Cabenuva, check out our blog post to see if Cabenuva is right for you. And, please get in touch with us with any questions. We’re always happy to help!
New! The Village Pharmacy is now open in Midtown Toronto!
Our third location of The Village Pharmacy is now open in midtown Toronto at 2518 Yonge Street, north of Eglinton! For people living outside of the downtown core, our midtown location offers the same great service as our other 2 locations, along with a focus on HIV treatment and prevention.
We’re just a short walk from Eglinton subway station, and there’s plenty of street parking available nearby. Free delivery in the GTA and across Ontario.
