We love being in the Village and having great clients like you. We also recognize the importance of being socially responsible citizens. So, on behalf of our clients, we give 5% of what we make to community and international organizations. We've done this every year we've been in business and we’re committed to sustaining and growing our investment in our community and city.

When you get your prescriptions at The Village Pharmacy, you can feel good knowing that you're also helping to support incredible organizations in Toronto prevent HIV, fund HIV research, provide services to those living with HIV, as well as national and international organizations that help people living with HIV, kids, refugees, the environment and much more.

The Village Pharmacy believes in supporting initiatives that strengthen our communities, our city and our world. Some of the initiatives we fund include:

HIV Services Organizations in Toronto

Other Canadian organizations

  • Kids Help Phone provides free online and telephone counselling on a wide range of topics to children and youth across Canada.

  • Scott Mission offers hot meals, childcare support and food support to diverse men, women and families in need in Toronto. A 72-bed men’s shelter also provides drop-in and group activities, counselling, housing and financial support.

  • Food Banks Canada helps food banks across Canada access a steady supplies of nutritious food and help distribute it to people in their communities, by partnering with farmers, food producers and corporations, plus advocacy to address food insecurity across Canada.

  • Ecojustice is Canada’s largest environmental law charity. Across Canada, Ecojustice’s work has protected at-risk species, halted fossil fuel projects that came with unacceptable climate risks and kept toxic chemicals out of our air and water.

  • Movember Canada prioritizes funding for the three biggest health issues facing men: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. As part of a global movement, Movember funds projects in research, awareness and men’s services.

International organizations

  • Doctors Without Borders is an emergency medical relief organization that also provides HIV treatment, leads prevention efforts and has been instrumental in securing greater access to HIV medications in Africa and around the world.

  • Rainbow Railroad helps LGBT individuals escape from human rights violations in their countries.

  • World Food Programme provides emergency food assistance and helps to improve food security in over 80 countries around the world.

  • Aga Khan Foundation Canada supports the activities of the AKDN in healthcare, education, rural support, culture and so much more, empowering people throughout Africa and Asia to break the cycle of poverty and improve their quality of life.

  • UNHCR is the UN Refugee Agency. It is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. There are 20.4 million refugees under UNHCR’s mandate.
