Will a minor illness assessment always result in a prescription?

Not always! The outcome depends on your assessment with the pharmacist.

If the pharmacist feels confident that the symptoms of your condition merit a prescription, the pharmacist will prescribe the appropriate medication for you.

However, in some cases, your symptoms may not meet the criteria for a prescription. In these cases, the pharmacist may recommend an over-the-counter product to treat your condition or, if it is more serious, refer you to your doctor or a local walk-in clinic.
