How Does The PrEP Clinic Work?
In just a few steps, you’ll have everything you need to start PrEP for free if you’re under age 25. It’s super-easy, fast, and convenient for you to get your PrEP prescription & prevent HIV. We’re with you every step of the way:
PrEP Clinic Step 1:
Consultation
Meet with our pharmacist (they have loads of experience in PrEP). You’ll get important info about starting PrEP and answers to all your questions.
You’ll get registered with a Toronto-based PrEP/HIV specialty doctor and get your bloodwork form.
PrEP Clinic Step 2:
Bloodwork
We make it easy to get an appointment at a lab near you, or you can go to a lab where you’re registered.
Most bloodwork results are available in about 7 business days.
PrEP Clinic Step 3:
Doctor’s Appointment
The clinic will contact you for an appointment with the PrEP doctor.
You’ll see the doctor to review your bloodwork results and make sure PrEP is right for you. Appointments may be virtual during the COVID-19 outbreak.
You’ll also have follow-up appointments with your doctor, usually every 3 months.
PrEP Clinic Step 4:
Get your PrEP prescription
Pick up your PrEP prescription at The Village Pharmacy, or request free delivery.
